We are proud of our excellent well-performed associates who have accumulated substantial experience in the areas of Chinese intellectual property laws including but not limited to filing, prosecuting, licensing, franchising, administratively enforcing, custom recording and judicially protecting patents, trademarks and copyrights, as well as in each area of Chinese commercial laws, in particular in mergers and acquisitions, foreign direct investment in China, corporate governance and compliance, restructuring and reorganization, labor and employment, commercial arbitration and litigation in China, international business and trade.
Most of our associates graduate with their master or doctor degrees from top Chinese and overseas law schools with honors, such as Peking University, Tsinghua University, People’s University of China, China University of Politic Science and Law, London School of Economics and Political Science, Macau University of Science and Technology, or worked for some reputable international law firms for long and received professional training there. So our associates not only know Chinese laws very well, but also practise in the same ways and standards as those adopted by international law firms.
Former Experience
Our associates are active practitioners for Chinese intellectual property or commercial laws for many years. They had practised Chinese laws in some large Chinese intellectual property firms serving for large multi-national companies and occupying positions such as patent attorneys and trademark attorneys or in some leading American, European and Hong Kong based international law firms as associates focusing on foreign direct investment, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, compliance and reorganization, labor and employment, international trade and disputes resolution for long. Some of them once worked in Chinese governmental or judicial authorities or study and practised in some other jurisdictions for years before joining in our firm or have been trained in other international law firms. So our associates have extensive experience in representing our foreign clients in prosecuting trademarks or patents before the State Trademark Office or the State Intellectual Property Office or arbitration before the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission. Thanks for their deep understanding on Chinese laws and regulations as well as their long and rich practice experience, our associates can design ideal deal structures which comply with Chinese laws for our clients’ cross-board transactions involving China and other direct investment, mergers and acquisitions, and disputes resolution in China, and also get our clients’ economic interests protected to the greatest extent permitted by Chinese laws.

All of our associates, paralegals and translators are fluent in English and Mandarin and some other Chinese dialects, such as Shanhainese and Cantonese. English is our working language. We deliver our legal services in English to clients and draft various memorandums and other legal documents in English and also prepare for the respective Chinese versions when our foreign clients have to submit relevant documents to Chinese authorities for examination and approval.
