Before joining in China Sunbow & Associates, Mr. Ronald had practised Chinese intellectual property laws, particularly in patent laws, in China for years working as a full-time patent attorney in a top tier Chinese local intellectual property firm and also in a well-established Taiwan based intellectual property firm both in their Beijing offices.

During working in those intellectual property firms, Mr. Ronald mainly focused on prosecution for foreign patent applications in China as well as the legal issues on PCT entering into Chinese national phase. He had also handled many foreign concerning patent legal issues, such as patent search and the applications for reexamination, invalidation of inventions, utility models and industrial designs before the State Intellectual Property Office of China. He had also accumulated enough experience in patent litigation from his former practices in patent laws.

Mr. Ronald had also advised foreign clients on patentability and infringement analyses. He is quite familiar with the regulations of the PRC patent laws and the implementation rules as well as the Chinese patent examination guidance.

Mr. Ronald is admitted to practise patent law before the State Intellectual Property Office of China.
