Before joining in China Sunbow & Associates, Mr. Frank has been practised Chinese trademark laws upon his graduation in two well-known IP firms in their Beijing offices for more than six years. Mr. Frank was once the Trademark Department Manager in charge of the whole trademark legal issues for one famous Beijing based intellectual property firm for three years. Under his guidance and also thanks to his excellent high quality service, Mr. Frank had helped that IP firm to have earned many famous international clients, including some Fortune 500 multi-national enterprises.

Thanks to his long-term representing clients as well as his rich experience in Chinese trademark law, up to now, Mr. Frank has prosecuted and applied for more than ten thousand trademarks with the State Trademark Office of China on behalf of his foreign clients, including many famous international enterprises, including but not limited to the Bridgestone Corporation, Casio Computer Co, Ltd., The Sherwin-Williams Company, GEO Specialty Chemicals, Inc., Ferro Corporation, The Lincoln Electric Company, MITSUBISHI, Eastman Kodak Company, Adidas, La Chemise Lacoste, etc.

Apart from prosecution for trademark registrations for foreign clients, Mr. Frank has also assisted several foreign enterprises in applying for identifying their trademarks as well-known trademarks in China, including identifying “Gillette” and “Bridgestone” as well-known trademarks. He can also advise foreign clients on strategic trademark planning and protection in China.

Mr. Frank is mainly stationed in our Beijing office so as to better communicate face to face with the examiners of the State Trademark Office in the event of any refusal during the trademarks prosecution. Mr. Frank is also responsible for the operation of our Beijing office.
